I'll be honest. Everyone deals with this differently, and I am currently in the process of yo-yoing between diets, which isn't healthy.
I started on a low-carb diet.. I'm now in remission when I was diagnosed. I was at 53mmol I brought it down to 36mmol.

So I personally think my gauge of how insulin resistant i am based on how high my blood sugar spikes after meals
The mastering diabetes plan utilizes high carbs from fruits, vegetables, and legumes ect. I've not tried it yet.. worried to try it! [emoji53]

I had a spike then came crashing down..was at 3.6 - I'm diet controlled so not a major issue but felt like **** anyway!

Majority of been linked to stroke and heart attack events...scary stuff [emoji20]! Can't have sugar...can't have sweetners cause they cause the above!!
