Could be that the pen says [emoji639]ml on but is a mistake. All sounds very strange. What I will say is an air shot should be done each new needle to ensure the needles are working. I have on occasion had ones that are not. It isn’t wasteful it’s essential.

To be fair that is quite an old phone. They were discontinued February five years ago and the most up to date one is now a sixteen. The way technology moves today it is hard to keep up with.

@Lennycollins Welcome. Although admirable that you are so invested in your child’s well being, perhaps it is time now she is 16 to practise retreating a little. In two years she will be classed as an adult and really it will no longer be appropriate for you to be constantly aware of her levels...

As a type one, that sort of differential in reading I would consider totally negligible and not worth a second thought. If you have access to more than one blood glucose meter and did a test at the same time i bet they would show that sort of differential.
