Run out of insulin can I take out of pen or cartridge

Thanks for the reply. The area I live in is so small they are unlikely to have another insulin but it's good to know, thank you [emoji846]

Run out of insulin can I take out of pen or cartridge

My local surgery has been having trouble getting me the novorapid in a vial. I've told them it was getting urgent and now I have none and need to change the cartridge on my tandem t slim now. The surgery says they have novorapid pens and I tried explaining that I cannot switch to this alone as...

Ypsomed loop / Medtronic 780g/ Tslim

I'm getting my t slim any day now and training through teams at the start of September. The change to Dexcom g6 has already made a difference, showing the libre to be giving me incorrect results and I don't know how long it's been doing that for. Combination of that and ozempic has already...

    Night time micro managing

As expected once I've found what works it changes... it's a regular thing for me. So last night I needed more insulin and tonight it just starts rising quickly with no food or change of routine. Just being it's usual predictably unpredictable self [emoji849] Ozempic has certainly helped but my...

Well morning came and it turned out I didn't need any insulin for the 40g! ? And still fine

    Night time micro managing

Thank you for your responses. I've had 5 basal programs in my pump that I work around over time. Since starting ozempic I am down to my lowest set category ( one I've rarely used before). I also have needed to set over night to TBR to 90% or 80%, 70% of that lower category. This is to a...

    Night time micro managing

Yes. The basal afternoon and over night is lower than the morning. So it changes at 8 am to the higher basal doses and lowered later in the afternoon over night It's 2 1/2 hours since having the 40 g and no bolus now

    Night time micro managing

I'm on a pump and cgm and started ozempic this summer so the game has been changed to the positive but with quite a journey along the way. Currently I'm baffled and wondered if anyone can shed some light. Evening I need a lot less insulin so adjust accordingly. But later eve the last 3 days I've...

    Custom overlay patches

I've just ordered some of these and they get cheaper the more you buy. Sorry this won't show picture but I found it in typeonestyle.com, hope that helps Once I'm used to the Dexcom I will certain looking at alternatives. I've always cut my own rock tape in previous times with a libre ...

    Differing blood results

Thank you everyone for replying. I don't normally do finger prick tests any more, it was only because once the Dexcom was up and running it showed me so high which with my libre trend this week it had not been high, it was a good week for a change. It threw my basal/bolus into doubt where I had...

    Differing blood results

I'm currently switching to Dexcom g6. It's now done the two hour warm up and the first test it's taken shocked me. I did a blood test to check. But I still have my libre on for another few hours. Was keeping as a back up whilst I did the switch. A bit gutted to be honest as I've had great...

    Ozempic

I've looked up ozempic as I've now been on it for nearly 2 months. I'm on novorapid pump and metformin. I am a bit confused though. No matter what I've tried over the past 3 decades I've not lost weight and have continued to gain. Drs have never understood why I have had to give decent sized...

    Confused

I've had this happen before. MySugr app would tell me how much insulin I needed and I'd follow it. But on some occasions it would tell me I still had insulin on board so it took it into account for my bolus. I'm fully aware of insulin stacking and didn't agree with the app but I thought to prove...

Ypsomed loop / Medtronic 780g/ Tslim

Do you find the humalog works better for you? I've been in novorapid for years and it has a very slow reaction for me, over an hour, I'm soon to change to one of hybrid closed loop pumps, yet to decide which one

No letter received. Not with the clinic that put me on insight and new clinic doesn't do it. I've had accucheck email to recall dodgy cannulas and tubing but no mention of the pump

    My sugar app

My sugr app completely crashed and lost all my info so back to pen and paper and working from a new base line, sorry I can't offer anything useful, feel very let down by mysugr, and the company can't help

Ypsomed loop / Medtronic 780g/ Tslim

I have the insight but am no longer with my diabetic team that gave it to me. I've not heard anything about the actual pump getting recalled. I no longer live in an area where insight is used

    Hybrid closed loop systems

Thank you for that reply. What ever I get has to be self funded so I'm not sure I can do that but I'm looking into it and fingers crossed

    Hybrid closed loop systems

Anyone have any experience of these? My new dr has recommended I go for this as my diabetes is very reactive to all sorts and very difficult to get the balance right. I keep a very close eye on it and use the libre and insight pump currently
