Type 2, what do I do!?!

So, you are saying it is more than likely the glipizide? Thanks!

Type 2, what do I do!?!

I have been eating healthier (though there is still some room for improvement) and taking my medications exactly as the doctor wants me to. So I am hoping that it can all work itself out! I know this is still the beginning so things may need to be tweaked a little here and there. I just want to...

Type 2, what do I do!?!

I was at 33 after the fall. Which is the lowest I have ever been to my knowledge. My first thought was that it had to be an interaction between some of my medications. Especially since this happened 2 days after increasing one medication, and starting several new ones. I am still waiting to hear...

Type 2, what do I do!?!

Well when I was first diagnosed for the first few weeks I was still mostly in the lower 200's. Now an average for me is about 120-130. However the last 2 weeks or so I have been getting much lower readings usually under 100.

Wow! So glad that you are ok! Thank you for these kind words! It is such a scary feeling to not feel in control of your own body. And I just want to make sure that I don't hurt anyone else, or myself by driving while I'm low. This has been such a crazy experience! Its so good to know there are...

Type 2, what do I do!?!

Sorry, I accidentally posted too soon! I did check my blood sugar after the fall, and I was at 33. Which is super low! And I did contacted my doctor as well. I went in yesterday for blood work and I am waiting to hear back from her today. My doctors have not been super helpful (I'm in the...

Type 2, what do I do!?!

Thank you for the link! I have checked with an attorney in my state (Illinois, United States) and many of the laws are the same here. I want to make sure that I am not putting anyone else or myself in danger while I am driving. It is a scary thought! So I appreciate the insight!

Type 2, what do I do!?!

I am honestly not very familiar with the symptoms of a hypo. I had not really had a problem with that before.. always the opposite. My doctor did recently prescribe a different dose of metformin. I started off only taking 2 a day, and she increased it to 4 a day. I started two other medications...

Type 2, what do I do!?!

I am currently on metformin and glipizide, as well as a thyroid medication and Lipitor for cholesterol. I have been keeping little snacks with me, is that what you mean? I'm sorry. I am still so new to this. How long should I wait to drive after a hypo?

Type 2, what do I do!?!

Ok, so I am not usually the person who posts on these sorts of things. However I don't have anyone in my life who has any knowledge of or experience with diabetes so I figured this would be a great place to get tips, information, and hopefully find other people who can relate to this disease and...
