Type 2 UPSET STOMACH WITH METFORMIN SR

If your metformin has only recently been a problem after taking them for so long it is less likely to be a side effect issue. I think you would be best advised to bite the bullet and see your GP. Cases of tablets can come through looking as if the medication has not come out of them -...

    Dizziness

I suspect it is more likely to be the stress as the side effects of metformin are usually in the tummy area. Do you have an issue with blood pressure or your ears? If you are worried about the dizzy spell, it may be as well to mention it to your GP, particularly if it happens again. Take care...

    Ifora glucose testing device/splitting insulin.

I have been on the Fora website: http://www.foracare.com but can find no mention of an iFora Mini. The only information coming up under iFora on google is a diabetes management app. Regards Doug

Type 2 Waking up with dry mouth and terrible thirst in early hours.

There is a need to be careful drinking water with pure lemon juice in it during the night. It is a source of acid which can cause teeth problems. The acid stays in the mouth and is not washed away.

    Just been put on victoza

As with all medications there are risks. As far as I can tell, the particular type of thyroid cancer you mention has been causally linked in animal models only This extract discusses a human case but does not ascribe the cancer to liraglutide use. It also discusses checks that can be done for...

    Type 2 Need advice please

Not a GP practice I would feel confident in. Given your other health issues, it agree that would be helpful to ask to be referred to a consultant. Your GP would have to make the referral. In the longer term, you might want to think about changing your GP practice. Take care
