    No longer classed as diabetic

    I have had non-diabetic numbers for years but am still diabetic. My diet has got me there but any dietary change might put me straight back to diabetic numbers. I believe that it is important for me to remain on the diabetic list and continue to be monitored annually.

    Worried about my diabetes

    Your Doctor might want to consider the SR version of Metformin. Many who cannot tolerate the ordinary formulation are able to take the sustained release version. I do hope that your Doctor gets your treatment regime established soon. A referral to a consultant diebetologist/endocrinologist...

    private healthcare and insurance?

    @greener Non-urgent treatment is exactly that - non-urgent. If your need is urgent you will be seen quicker. There is a 2 week maximum for suspected cancer for instance. You can also use choose and book and access various hospitals (and some may be private) to get an earlier appointment. With...

    I dislike Lyxumia. Is there an alternative?

    This forum's information on Lyxumia is at: http://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes-medication/lyxumia.html. It can cause low blood sugars when used with Gliclazide. I cannot see why it would produce high blood sugars or how taking onboard carbs would help in lowering it. This is something that you...

    I dislike Lyxumia. Is there an alternative?

    Normally eating bread and jam would raise most people's blood sugar. There are many different drugs out there to use to manage blood glucose. Are you on or have you tried any others?

    Vipidia/Alogliptin

    Zolodex and high blood sugar

    The HbA1c blood test will give you an idea of what your average blood sugars have been like over the past 2-3 months. I got this from drugs.com: Zoladex may raise your blood sugar. High blood sugar may make you feel confused, drowsy, or thirsty. It can also make you flush, breathe faster, or...
