Type 2 Lower BG Readings - When?

A quarter? That's helpful. Maybe another couple of stones until I can hope for any improvements then... thanks, that gives me hope at least.

Type 2 Lower BG Readings - When?

I do write down what I eat, look at all the labels and I'm still in the early stages of testing (although I'll need more strips soon,) it's a balance of finding food that doesn't raise the BG levels too high and yet gets closest to making me feel not so hungry, that's the hardest part. I don't...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Parsley. I've got a fresh bunch of that. Pizza made of eggy cauliflower tortilla sounds nice, kinda. I could have a lot of fun putting things on the top. Have to be dinner now though, I was just searching for the info on a pkt of scampi I had in the freezer, (someone having mentioned that in...

Type 2 Lower BG Readings - When?

In order to come off metformin (need to get doctorial permission, I do understand that,) you need to get your BG readings low-ish, right? into more normal levels, yes? So that means loosing the weight. (I also know that this might not work at all, and I might therefore be on drugs forever...

    Slept Though Last Night! Hooray!

Slept though until 5am last night! Hooray! I'm normally up about 3 or 4 times during the night, but last night was different. Not only did I not wake until 5, I also had a lovely dream where I was getting thinner, and could actually feel that, my stomach didn't ache, my bad knee didn't wake me...

    Sweating - Cause? Lol!

Ah. But I'm type 2 and my levels are usually pretty high, they don't seem to want to go low at all. ... mind you, I haven't tested when boiling hot and sweaty, hmmmm. I didn't realise type 2's could have hypos, I thought that was just type 1's.

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

What sort of Coriander? Leaf or ground? Ground I can manage, leaf makes me throw up. Until it browns eh? Interesting, I wonder what freshly ground nutmeg would do to it... I like nutmeg.. Tortilla? Wow! Now that sounds very interesting indeed, I happen to have a fair amount of eggs at the...

Is Dry Skin A Symptom Of Diabetes?

Gosh, I had no idea thyroid problems were connected to diabetes, does that affect your memory and thinking processes? My memory is atrocious, my mum's is seriously bad, she attended a memory clinic and still has many memory related problems, and it seems like her personality is different...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

My aunt just phoned me up and told me about this book last night, seems there was a coupon for it in the RT, however it's much cheaper on Amazon. I was trying to search on the forum for the Blood Sugar Diet, but couldn't find anything but my own question - lol! Lunch: Veggie Deluxe Bake (my...

    Sweating - Cause? Lol!

What, in Essex? Or just in this house in Essex with my Mum controlling the temperature like it's the Sahara? I mean I know that Darkest Essex is a bit different to the rest of the UK, but still....:***::rolleyes: I'm hot again this morning, think I might have to open the window again, and let...

Is Dry Skin A Symptom Of Diabetes?

I have noticed some tiny spots now and then too. Saw the Nurse Practitioner today, when I said I'd wondered if the scabby face was diabetes related she didn't say anything but her facial expression said - oh yes, certainly could be and you'll probably get lots more little things coming along to...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Lunch: Beetroot and wheatberry salad with salmon, toms and Emmenthal cheese. (That last is probably a bad thing). Pretty low carb except for the wheatberries I think - but a complete change for me.

Yes, that's true, I hadn't thought of that, and I don't know how long it had been like that until we thought to investigate.

Is Dry Skin A Symptom Of Diabetes?

Yes... it's pretty mild at the moment - and that Dermol 500 lotion seemed to help but I've only tried it once so far.

Is Dry Skin A Symptom Of Diabetes?

Interesting! Lavender foot cream?...mmm sounds lovely! Brunneria, What? Green veg??? But I only eat a little more than I used to, It's more what I've cut out. Which is mostly sugar, and is now becoming carb heavy stuff too. The only sugar I take in now is that naturally found in dairy, fruit...
