Is Dry Skin A Symptom Of Diabetes?

Thanks to all for your replies. No, not very beguiling, is it AndBreathe? But that's okay I'm not normally 'beguiling' by any means, what with the nasty rough patches under my eyes where my glasses used to rest, all day and every day, until I had lens replacement surgery end of last year -...

    Sweating - Cause? Lol!

You know it was actually a nicer temperature out in the Middle East in Oman, when we used to live there, because you had air-conditioning, and we didn't have to put up with my Mum putting the central heating on full blast even when the temperature is just a nice balmy spring day, here in the UK...

What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Nice colourful brekky today: Egg - just egg, with low sodium salt, rainbow peppercorns, on low carb bread, toasted, with butter, and on the side: baby piccolo toms, crisp, fresh and juicy - and oh so tasty!

    Sweating - Cause? Lol!

Woke up and continued for some hours boiling hot, so much so, I was sweating. Thought this morning's toast was having a bad effect on me, and wondered if you can actually feel a BG spike in that way.... then, discovered that we must have had a power dip as the heating was coming on at 2am! Lol...

Is Dry Skin A Symptom Of Diabetes?

Wanted to ask if a suddenly dry and crusty skin is a symptom of diabetes or not? Just this last week I've suddenly got dry cracking patches on my face... worrying.

Poll: Which diabetes course(s) have you attended?

I have no idea what the courses are like because I haven't been able to attend one. I have been offered one it's just taking an enormously long time to get to it. I was diagnosed end of December last year and my course (Desmond) isn't until May. I don't know, but it does seem to me to be a...

    1st Meter Reading Today

Having once had 'gravy' made with whized up cauliflower which turned out to be more like wallpaper paste - and that made by my daughter who is a very good cook, well I just find I can't face anything made with whized up cauliflower now. I think it was that it just looked like a rather solid gel...

Yes, I figured it wasn't Low Carb from the pictures, Lol! I'm getting my head around what has high carbs and what doesn't - more or less. I don't know about sweet potatoes, I haven't tested my BG with those yet. But I will. I'm intending to make another batch of my glorious Veggie Deluxe Bake...

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

Don't know this morning's as I completely forgot to test, but after continious rates of around 9.1 or 9.2 in the mornings, I had a reading of 7.8 on Saturday morning.... that was after eating my luscious Veggie Deluxe Bake with tons of veg (including beetroot) the Friday evening before. (at...

No. I never have a plan, it takes me all day to get to the point where I know what I'll be having for dinner, just on that day, and that's usually about 10 minutes before I get to eat it. If I could think of enough things to make, to be able to actually have things to put into a plan I'd be...
