    World Carnivore Month 2020

What's the benefit of air-drying? It looks scrumptious :) 1/2 way through now! Crackling, steak, lamb & broth brings my food week to a close. Butchers tomorro, not sure what to get. Any suggestions?

Trying this tonight since someone borrowe'd and broke my binaural beat machine that was brilliant. Edit-spelling

    Today R4 program- depressing

I think the phrase 'Lies, **** lies & statistics' needs an update. 'Lies, **** lies, statistics & thresholds'.

Prof. Roy Taylor - new book - Daily Mail

A work colleague was interviewed for the radio recently about his business. 'Cut and paste' to present what the radio station wanted to put over is the most charitable way of putting it. Needless to say it was a BBC station.

    Keto and carb addiction

Yup, it will :) and it's not an end in itself and can be modified anytime you need to. Nice job! I'm eating 2 to 3 times a day as I am water-fasting 3 days a week. Halfway through and my appetite on eating days is very much reduced so OMAD again is arriving naturally.

    Worried about ketoacidosis

With my GP, you can ask for a callback from the doctor rather than an appointment. If I have asked these are always the same day, often when there's a gap when someone fails to show or around 11am after morning surgery. In the past, I have also used this to ask my GP whether I need to make an...

    World Carnivore Month 2020

Rocked it up with some Spanish Serrano ham for lunch - not hungry enough for breakfast. Last of the meat in the lamb & crackling for tea with broth for tomorrow. If appetite stays low like this, perhaps I'll get some scale movement on Friday.

    Carnivore Corner

Roaming YouTube i came across this by Dr Noakes. Such a persuasive argument in a very dense format. It would've saved me hours of listening. I'm not going to bother about reversing my IR and plan to knuckle down to <25g of carbs for life - by happy accident that was my first foray into...

    World Carnivore Month 2020

Sunday Ate when not hungry yesterday. Today much better - lamb stew for breakfast with its jellied broth, 4 slices of thick streaky smoked bacon, coffees with cream. Still not hungry.

    Avocado

They have no discernable effect on BG for me, large or small. I've never eaten more than one at any meal

Uplifting results. Nice to hear the light at the end of the tunnel may not be a train coming the other way!

21/01/20 Bacon, v. small gammon steak, coffee & cream, lamb stew with a dash of vinegar. Bored cat pushed off my 1 litre bottle of superior dark soy sauce, which leaked most of its contents, onto the kitchen floor, Gah! Luckily I have a vinyl floor but my hands have a Chinese takeaway aroma...

Is a Vegetarian diet really healthier than Omnivore?

The chlorella in question (white, yellow & lime green) is not genetically modified. Wasnt heme iron added for flavour profile and not part of the chlorella but part of making the frankenfood?

Is a Vegetarian diet really healthier than Omnivore?

Algae protein research is getting to significant production levels and recent developments in colour are going to make it more widely used in foodstuff's. Yellow, white and lime green are soon to be available. Soy will not be the only option.

    Freestyle Libre inaccurate readings

Abbott replaced my sensor that started being this far off with no quibbling. I just had to give 3 comparison BG values and the equivalent Libre value and a few other bits of info availabletc on my phone.

    Recommendations for cream for feet

If you're in the US or have some who can get to Walgreens, Zim's Crack Creme, original liquid fomula. Not as good as it was but still brilliant. EDIT - cheap in US less than $10 but extortionate on UK Amazon at £32

    Is this too many carbs?

You can request the results. I did; they have to check with GP before release so it can take a day or two. You will probably have to collect as they won't post them.

    World Carnivore Month 2020

4.7... False dawn. FBG this morning 6.4. Must be gluconeogenesis from the protein and hopefully only insulin resistance as a result of low-carb (not patholigical) muscles refusing glucose as they want fat and my liver still thinking 6.4 is appropriate. Anyway, bacon calls.

    fasting question

Adding to that, fasting & low-carb are two, complementary things that are very powerful in combination. Jason Fung's suggestions are not specific to diabetes but general health. A lot of people on this site combine the two, but no, for someone with poor response to carbs, you can't eat as many...

    World Carnivore Month 2020

I was not even in the market but was reading a site that mentioned them. Still, to me, just another toy in the kitchen I wouldn't use, I put the idea in the back-burner. Mum used to use a pressure cooker when I was a kid. A great big lump of oh so healthy aluminium but the lamb stew was awesome...
