Redactet you should not prick the fingertips ,lot more nerve endings there and you need to maintain those for touch and feel etc ,use the sides of fingers then the thickening we all get after a while wont be in the touchy feely bit

Have been on novorapid for years as bolus and levemir as basal then levemir to lantus then insulatard and now because im reacting to basal am just using novorapid with meals

Cant have pump as type 2 and just doing rapid at the mo but when i need more than 8units or so the heart beats badly so just wondering what happens to people who cant tolerate insulin bearing in mind i have tried tablets ect and they are not enough

Looks as if the 2.8 for 1 unit is entered right but its not coming up with the correct sum so may have a fault, fortunatly I do the sum in my head so no harm done. Thanks anyway noblehead

Can anyone tell me how to alter the correction dose calculater on the meter. My glucose was 13 6 at bedtime and suggsted dose 4.5 units of novorapid and since each unit lowers bg by 2.8 you can see id be hypo when asleep !! Just cant find this in any of the settings
