What can I add to make black coffee not so bitter, but won’t break fast?

I am interested in 16:8 fast. But, 2 days/week I have to be ready by 7 am. I drink coffee in the morning. I am doing keto and normally add cream. Black is too bitter for me. Is there something I can use that won’t break the fast? I have erythritol. Would that help? I also add coconut oil...

A big thank you to this website and posters.

Hello I have mostly been lurking, but following posts. I was diagnosed type 2 diabetes years ago (at least 5) but my dr seemed satisfied that my A1C was under 6%. - with metformin and januvia. So, I did not take it very seriously. I would read posts on low carb and think, that’s too hard...

Hello. I am in US. I have type 2 diabetes and take metformin. I was just taken off Januvia. I have the free trial for the freestyle libre 14 day sensor, I like to be able to check glucose during the day without fingerstick. I find it reads lower than fingerstick especially when levels...

It is 30g total carbs. How do I get an insulin test.? Is that something I ask my dr to order. I believe the med I was on increased insulin secretion. My evening levels are lower than fasting but higher than they had been. Thank you.

    Keto diet and medication reduction

I am in the US. In a nutritional ketogenic diet program called Virta for type 2 diabetes. I had labs done at the beginning of this month and the results were good so the Dr in the program suggested removing Januvia. Now, my fasting glucose levels are higher than when I began the program. My Dr...

Type 2 Reducing heart failure risk?

I should not have mentioned the ad in original post. It just got me to thinking what risk factors I have for heart failure. I don’t plan on taking a medication.

Type 2 How can I convince myself this is serious?

Non diabetic neuropathy runs in my family. I don’t have it but my dad, nephew and cousin do. Like someone posted, I may be complacent because I seem to be controlled with the meds. I did request to speak with a dietitian and have not heard back yet.

Type 2 How can I convince myself this is serious?

Thank you. I do get tired after meals. Not just a little tired, like I need to take a nap. Logically, I know it is real, but my behavior is not following, yet. That is good advice to be open with others.
