    Diabetic foot prevention tool

I've had a quick look at your website and the product range. There doesn't appear to be any price list on your website for these products. I will email you for more details. I suspect the mods will remove your post very soon, but I'll keep an open mind and contact you for more info. Thanks

Considering going from diet only straight to insulin

Hi folks, I'm still on my roller coaster ride of healthy, low carb eating (kind of), avoiding sugary foods and eating plenty of fruit and veg. I'm a bit disappointed today to have taken a reading of over 12 having had 2 rolls (wholemeal) and sausage about one and a half hours ago. I'm...

    Type2 Diabetes.v. chinese food

My wife and I used to eat out at least once a week; usually a Friday or Saturday night. We seldom eat out now, partly because of my condition, partly because of the "hassle" of chosing stuff off the menu but also partly in truth because we are skint due to the recession. On the few occassions...

    Type2 Diabetes.v. chinese food

It is wrong to generalise I agree and I'm sure you are right that poor kitchen and hygene standards are not reserved for Chinese establishments alone. I remember a few years ago in Hartlepool, the local authority started a scoring process for ALL food outlets in the town, burger bars, take...

    Type2 Diabetes.v. chinese food

I suspect if you were able to have a peek inside a typical chinese takeaway kitchen you would never order another takeaway in your life. My previous office was right next door to one and it certainly put myself and my staff off them for life. The place was infested with rats, we were...

PS - I've had two glasses of red wine, two spring rolls and a whole squeezed grapefruit this evening.

    Type2 Diabetes.v. chinese food

This mood swing thing intrigues me. My wife and son frequently call me a grumpy old b****** Can I blame my mood on the BG I have at the time? On my aquarium I have one of those stick on thermometer labels, where the water temperature is illuminated so you can read it. Perhaps someone will...

    Bread

I personally cannot get my head around this carb weighing malarky. I just try and limit myself to a max of two slices of Hovis per day. I like Ryvita too and would rather eat 3 or 4 of them than bread anyway.

    Moderators 1, 2, 3 & 4

As Ken already knows, I moderate a similar PHP forum to this one, but on a totally different subject matter. By and large it's a thankless task, but somebody has to do it. I applaud the efforts of the moderators on this forum....whoever they are.

    Diabetes does kill

Ellen, My heartfelt condolences go to you and your family. I have to agree with Sue and Ken here, Gerard was a grown man and made his own choices using his own free will. In life we must all take responsibility for our own actions. Your story reminded me of another true story that happened...

I know, why don't we give the "new" mods really cool names; like they had in Gladiators. Can I be WOLF? Can I please.....................can I?   Who will be the ref? "Gladiator, are you ready?" "Forum user, are you ready?" Begin.

    Anyone hear Antony Worrall Thompson?

The original OP's question was: "Anyone hear Antony Worrall Thompson?" My answer is, not if I can possibly avoid it. Never understood this "celebrity chef" nonsense. They are just bloody men who can cook. PANSIES

What was the name of that old TV programme again with that Irish actor (Patrick someone) who kept trying to escape from somewhere and a big bouncing ball chased him and brought him back? Remember the one all you 40 plus year olds? He was always saying: "I'm not a number, I'm a free man"...

    Rename Type 1 Diabetes

In forum speak, Useless Pretty Boy" is a troll. He is simply posting on this forum to try and stir up trouble. Don't take the bait......................DON'T FEED THE TROLL!!!

    Rename Type 1 Diabetes

I personally think this whole thread and indeed the whole type 1 versus type 2 debate, here and elsewhere is a very sad indictment of our society as a whole. If mankind cannot even get on/agree when disease is a common denominator what chance do we as the human race ever have of stopping war...
