What do you think to this?

Thanks @jack412 - know what you're saying - it's just that at the mo I'm eating around 30g per day so 20g per meal would be double. I'll have to see her reasons for suggesting this when I see her, as she did state that I would need to increase my novo - so it doesn't make much sense to me! Cheers.

What do you think to this?

Agreed @nosher8355 - feel sharper too & less 'weighed down' on lchf. I was staggered at the suggestion tbh! Glad to hear you are doing so well too. All the best.

What do you think to this?

Thanks @Bluetit1802 - I will. I just can't believe they're both encouraging diabetics to eat more carbs! 20g at each meal too! Will start compiling a folder of research articles! Thanks.

    How late do you eat

I usually eat around 7:30/8pm but would like to eat earlier too! I too like a square of 85% choc or some salted peanuts!

What do you think to this?

Evening all - just wondering what you thought..... I merely emailed my Dietician recently to ask her view on lchf (as advised by my DSN). She kindly got me a meter to test ketones and was genuinely interested in my food diary. She has, however, just got in touch having spoken to my Consultant...

    Falafel recipes please?

Good stuff. Yes I wondered about using almond flour instead. Defo needs the salt & lemon juice. My 2 kids love them! Enjoy!

    Falafel recipes please?

Hi @rowan - I use this one but admit haven't made these since doing lchf. I worked them out as approx 4.1g cho each - so would have 2 with a big salad for lunch! I used Waitrose chickpeas. It definitely needs salt & lemon juice which I added. I guess you could omit or substitute the flour. HTH

    Good recipe / cookery books

Hi @Shazza41 - I don't have any suggestions I'm afraid. I have got all my recipes from here and googled a few. Let us know if you find any good ones. Cheers.

    Baking

Hi @ trinity0097 - will attach 1 recipe that springs to mind. You can omit the flaked almonds. I like this recipe but hubby wasn't keen!

    Cravings

Can I just clear that up - I don't mean drugs (!) I means nut/seed bar called '9 bar' - several flavours!!! Thanks!

    Cravings

Hi @Brunneria - is the low carb hot choc with cream & dark choc? Thx
  16. Medusa41

    Cravings

Agree @Spencer67. It's so hard at times. I will have a square of 85% chocolate or peanut butter or a 9 bar. Hope the cravings soon go.

    Oral Lichen Planus, biopsy result

Hey how's everyone doing? @millysue and @Robinredbreast? I was at the Dentist on Thur & she spotted a very small patch of OLP in my cheek & told me more about the condition. Hope everyone's keeping well.

    LCHF & exercise

Hi Pepsi Max - I've only been on lchf since November but do go to body attack classes 3x a week, swim & the occasional jog. What I have noticed is that my sugars don't dip as much & remain around the same as at the beginning & end of a class. Swimming seems around the same - jogging lowers it a...
