    Another 6.2 at 0540hrs (wish dogs would let me sleep longer [emoji42]). Hope cat doesn’t bring me another slow worm this morning - they’re too ‘snake-like’ for me. Shudder!

    6.2 at 0515hrs (down from 11.2 at bedtime yesterday). Our outside temps have dropped considerably (lots of much-needed rain [emoji299]️) so maybe hot weather does play a part.

    I’d love to be able to go to beach with my dogs but, as I live in a land-locked country, I just don’t fancy the 10-hour drive to get there! Have fun.

    7.6 at 0515hrs and I’ve not cheated with my diet. Warmer indoors than out - must be the heat (or so I tell myself).

    Another disappointing 7.4 at 0530hrs. At least it’s a sunny day which boosts the morale a wee bit.

    Not happy - 7.4 at 0530hrs. I think the heat is affecting me - only explanation I can come up with :-(

    Good morning - dull today :-( 7.7 at 0545hrs. I have a really painful back so wonder if that could be the reason for this morning’s high(er) reading?

    This is my second attempt with Metformin but now 500mg twice daily instead of 1000mg twice. In addition I take Januvia 100mg in the morning & insulin at bedtime. I’m determined to persevere - but with higher dosage I was really in a bad way. Thanks for your words of encouragement

    Hi everyone. Yesterday 6.2, today up to 7.2 . Can’t explain why. In addition meds have upset my tummy - so glad I have a Sudoku magazine in the loo to help pass the time.

    Good morning. My reading was 5.8 at 0530hrs - this is only the 4th time I’ve been under 6 so I was pleasantly surprised [emoji7]

    I know that bread, rice, pasta and pizza send my readings rocketing so I’m avoiding those (this in a country with so many Italian & Asian restaurants and tasty croissants). Funnily enough, potatoes don’t affect me too much. I can only ‘suffer’ so much rabbit food.
