I don't know anything about protein shakes but; Normally whenever I exercise I see a drop in my BG levels, but I have found that on a few occasions when I have pushed myself during exercise my BG levels rise or don't drop. I wonder if, when pushing ourselves hard, we put stress on our body, and...

If you are still eating carbs, this anxiety / shakiness may be because your BG have fallen fairly rapidly, eg maybe an hour or two beforehand you were in the 7s..... I used to find this until I started testing 1hr AND 2hrs after meals.... It often occurred when I needed to pee more than...

Hi Reaman I am similar to you. Diagnosed T2 sept 2013 then T1 LADA dec 2013, no insulin or meds. Around a year ago I noticed my toes were getting cold and tingled, my diabetic nurse tested my feet and found I had lost my senses in my large toe. A year on and with a hba1c of 5.2% I think they...

I managed to put on 1 1/4 stone whist on a low carb diet (around 40 carbs per day) about 6 months back. Bullet proof coffee

Mine consists of: 30g coconut oil and 30g butter in a tall mug, then fill half the mug full of coffee. Whisk well, until you have a good creamy froth on top (this is essential, as it creamifies the coffee). Top up and enjoy.

    Bullet proof coffee

Judith Try it with kenco decaf. Sometimes I have a bulletproof coffe with instant coffee. It isn't so good, but still ok. The main / important thing I have found is the mixing. It needs a good mix until you have a froth on top. I have a battery mixer (floppy wire whisk, about £3.00 each) and...
