    Cheat meals allowed?

    I supposed anything that will spike BG by 6 or 8 Points. So around 14 MNOL. I am a Type 2 diabetic. Also as a Type 2 diabetic are there any techniques for quickly lowering BG after eating ( without Insulin). I have heard walking or even skipping on spot for 20 minutes if effective....?

    its certainly not a death sentence. Have a discussion with Diabetic nurse. She will probably encourage you take Metformin at that level. But not sure what your diet or exercise lifestyle is like at present but certainly something to review.The advice around finger pricking for a least a week to...

    I heard that Metformin can seriously impact Cardiorespitaory performance and can compromise Mitochondria performance by up to 50%. Would be interested to understand if anyone has experienced this.

    sorry new member. I think that this may apply to me too. Recently I get muscle pain and joint pain from time to time and twitching. I wonder if it is related to the high sugar also.

    Thanks. Great advice. Last question - I accidentally took an HBA1C Test only 2 weeks after I took my last 12 week test. It was come down 13 points in around 14 weeks. Is that normal? in terms of decrease?

    Ok...so a healthy spike as exercise is most powerful lever we can pull as a type 2 diabetic. Does it negate the need to eat breakfast then and try and make it until lunch?

    I don't understand. I woke up at 5.6% and just had a cup of black coffee and water and ran 3 miles -fasted and it has increased to 9.6%? Does exercise alone increase BG?

    Side effects of going on to low carb low sugar diet

    This is fascinating. I have had next to no added sugar in what feels like a month. Zero. And my HBA1C was up in the 79's and randomly my sugar would be in the 15%, and for the last 3 weeks have felt terrible. Low Mood, body aches and fatigue. I wonder if this could be the cause too?
