    Well in the end I did the airshot using my current pen. Then administered 10u’s from that pen, and repeated the process then with a new pen. This time there was less than 1u left, so I didn’t feel so bad then throwing it out. Will do that in future when I have less than the amount I need.

    I purchased some Frio wallets recently, and they have been great for storing my insulin in. I personally would recommend them. What’s also a godsend is you only need access to water to activate them.

    How Do You Quench You’re Thirst?

    Thanks all for you’re hints, tips and advice. Much appreciated. Thirst issue is much better, blood glucose slowly but surely coming down. Insulin increased yesterday so maybe that’s made a little difference.
