Yeah pretty much with bog standard Metformin. Ask your Dr or DSN to swap you to Metformin MR. It's slow release and not as stomach upsetting

Is the prescribing Dr aware of her previous bad reactions? My experience with hospital doctors (no offence to the good ones) is they skip half the notes. My dad is brain damage as a result of a heart attack and they always mess his meds up. I wish your mum the best of luck and a speedy recovery

My surgery used to take repeats over the phone but now have to fill in a daft form and post it through a letter box. There's one tiny shelf, one pen, never enough forms and a que of people waiting for it every time. I also use boots to sort my repeats but they always end up missing something...

Find the same thing. My wife thinks I'm a hypercondriact (struggling to spell that) when I say what I'm feeling, my mother-in-law thinks diabetes is all in my head and I shouldn't take medication for anything. She takes the p#$$ out of me if I go to the doctors!
