Of all the luck in this weather went down with it last week - couldn’t eat then but am more now. A little concerned my bs levels are are raised 1 to 2 points like 6 to 7.2 at bedtime. Is this normal ? I know they are still quite good but don’t want to go wrong way !

    Doctor Whats My Hba1c?

I’ve seen much worse on this forum! If you have a good read around and adjust your diet you should see a major change in a few months but you really must see your doctor soon to get a plan

    At Last

Very well done and I too enjoy my daily fix of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and double cream. My nurse actually agrees with my diet after seeing the 4 stone weight loss and halving of blood clorestorol! She’s one of the good ones!

    3 month update

Hi Kamsamji - very well done. You’ve done similar to me but mine was over seven months and 7.1 down to 5.7 and lost 4 stone. Chlorestorel level really good now. I find I can drink whisky with water and wine has no real effect. We have proven it can be done - maybe the difficulty will be...

    Constant Reminders

So was diagnosed about 9 months ago and have since lost 4 stone, reduced clorestorol and a week ago my HbA1c was 5.7. Passed my digital eye test. Occasionally still get the symptoms of diabetes like cold feet, sometimes having to use bathroom at night more than normal etc. My fbg today was 6.5...

GP Reviews and Diabetic Nurse Specialists

I’ve read horror stories on here BUT have to say although my GO wasn’t particularly interested 8 months ago on my diagnosis I now have a fantastic nurse. My last HbA1c was in the “normal range” as were my other blood tests and as far as she is concerned as long “as my diet is doing the job “...

    Curried myself from diabetes ext

I’m sure the weight loss was the big help. My HbA1c down to 5.7 yesterday and I had lost over 6 months 56 pounds. I feel so much better for the weight loss too.

    Latest HbA1c

Just returned from dn appointment - very pleased. Now down to 5.7 BUT kidneys, liver, thyroid and chlorestorel levels all good particularly the latter and all down to low carb diet. This is not bragging but telling the doubters it does work and I still have a little more wine than I should!
