    Fast meals

I've recently found that if I keep my salad stuff out of the fridge it lasts longer. I stand the spring onions in a container of water, all the other stuff is on the windowsill. If I put tomatoes, cucumber or bell peppers in the fridge they turn to mush within a few days.

Time for new NHS diet guidelines?

Do you ever get the feeling they really are ALL in it together? The Government, big business, the banks, even the criminals, all trying to get their hands on our cash. By any means that they can use. Poisoning us with their food then selling us the drugs and treatment to 'cure' us. It's the...

Anyone taking Citalopram finding it hard to lose weight?

I've been taking Citalopram for the past few years for anxiety. Just wondering if this is preventing me from losing weight on the HFLC diet? Only asking because before I found out I was Type2 I've tried to lose weight before , (the conventional way), but never had any success. I've been on the...

    Unexpected dip in inflamation.

I've had Sciatica pain in my left thigh for months. After 2 weeks on HFLC diet I had no pain in my leg when turning over in the middle of the night. And today the pain seems to have gone completely. Fingers crossed.

Oh no.. another drug to sort a dietary problem...!

The new treatment - which works by blocking part of the immune system called interleukin-1 - currently costs around £40,000 annually to treat a patient with the drug, compared to just £20 for statins. No chance of this happening. The NHS is on it's knees as it is. But it won't stop the drug...

Is the LCHF diet costing you more money?

I was thinking the same thing the other day. How do people on minimum wage manage if they're Diabetic? Their food expendeture would be a lot lower than a person on the Average wage for instance, with very little room for manouver. So they would be very likely to totally depend on the drugs.

For those worried about cholesterol levels..

If my Doctor had her way I'd be on cholesterol lowering drugs and Diabetes drugs. I must be saving the NHS a small fortune, along with all the other sufferers on the forum. It's the 'fear' factor that big pharma relies on. But it's all money down the drain.
