The meter connecting isn’t a serious problem. Not enough to need a basal insulin.
Call the Medtronic helpline. They should be able to figure out the problem. Hopefully it’s something easy, like batteries. Or they’ll be able to replace the meter.
How much are you drinking? The more you drink, the more you pee. I believe in hydration, so I drink a lot. And then pee too. My blood sugar control is considered as very, very good. Normal ranges is what I shoot for as a t1.
I would ask the hotel where I’m staying to accommodate me with one. I ask for it to help protect their people so I’m not putting sharp things in the trash. I have not had a hotel say no to me yet.
