When you talk about pain killers, pain stresses me out. Pain causes my blood sugar to rise. So after pain killers, regardless of which one I use as long as it has an effect on the pain, causes my blood sugar to lower.
I remember my Libre reader lines as more straight lines between readings. And Ive never been an avid scanner. So some of my days were 1, 2, or 3 readings.
Libre 2 in number of readings is about the same. But I’m amazed by how not straight my line is if I check once in the morning and then...
If I’m low dextrose tabs are only a last resort. I’d prefer to eat anything else (anything more delicious) than eat a glucose tablet.
If you eat and correct with enough glucose tablets enough times it might drive you to not have soo many low numbers. There’s a bizarre thought...
Well, Libre 2 can do this. But Libre 2 is collecting data all the time.
Libre only collects scanned data. So the average would only be from what has been scanned.
You are from my era if you also started with testing urine. I remember my 1st meter- my doctor said it was a delicate piece of equipment and I was to not take it out of my house. And now I take one with me everywhere I go in any conditions.
I am hypoglycemic unaware. I test 17-18 times per...
My honest answer is that Medtronic's CGM isn’t that good. Their pump is very good. I like their pump, and I like how they stand behind their pumps.
How well did Libre work for you? It might suggest how Medtronic’s CGM might go. I really wish people could just try these things before...
For how the technology reads, it could possibly be adapted to other places on the body, and maybe not just be an earring. The technology seems interesting! It also reads that it has no disposables, so it cuts down on waste- I like that!
We all want our D cured too! Do us next! Make us cured!
Sorry about your friend. Hopefully the Rona doesn’t hurt her too badly. For some it goes okay, and others it’s very bad. I’ll hope for the best for her.
And I hope you don’t wait until Christmas for the hazmat suit. You kind of need...
I will wager that the issue is with your basal insulin. Don’t know if you’re pumping or doing mdi. But if you’re pumping you might have a better chance to change the basal rate so that you don’t have to “feed the insulin” while you’re trying to exercise. For MDI you will have to give up the...
I have a friend on another website struggling with CGM. For her this is her first time. The hard part for me was that she self-funded hers. But she is very pro testing, and isn’t afraid to test. She’s well prepared to just walk away from it just because of what she’s used to doing for...
For as slow as cgm is, how unreliable the readings are, and sensors fail for me, I disagree with your disagreement. I’d rather just test my blood sugar.
Right now I’m going through another failed sensor. I just stopped paying attention to it 2 days ago and then it died this morning well...
Rip it off. And try again.
My whole abdomen is sick of infusion sets. Everywhere I place them they hurt or bleed of become painful or stop working. my abdomen needs a break. At lunch time I did something bad and just tore the stickier off and went for a walk. I was ready for a change.
I did...
