    Very low blood sugar reading

    I’m not on Gliclazide.

    Very low blood sugar reading

Well they didn’t. In fact they’ve told me very little. It’s not uncommon.

    Very low blood sugar reading

I don’t drive. Can but don’t. I did retest and got LO as my reading. I know that’s worse lol. I’m a bit bemused by it all as my regime hasn’t really changed these last 6 weeks or so and my readings have been between 1.7 and 9.7 and the latter was definitely a dodgy strip. My bloods always...

Thank you. I feel okay thanks. I will certainly mention it to my doctor.

Well the monitor is working fine. I’ve tested it as suggested. Could have been a rogue strip..may have been a genuine reading. All I can tell people is what it said and how I felt at the time. My diabetic nurse says anything under 3.0 is to be concerned at. 3.3 was, in her words, a bit lower...

Haven't had normal blood sugars ever - averaging 300-400 most days - anxious and feel terrible

Hey, don't be embarrassed about how you've treated your diabetes. None of us know it all and, starting out we usually make a mess of things and I am sure most of us (including me) hit bumps along the road because its all a balancing act and sometimes, for a number of reasons, that balance goes...

Hi Jim, No, that's not been mentioned. Not yet. I have a formal meds review on 11th March so I will bring it up then. Its not my usual doctor so we will see if I get anywhere with her.

No I don't drive. I can but my partner does all that. I cant predict other road users actions so, after five accidents in 18 months, I stopped driving. Keep my licence more for emergencies and as proof of identity. I had to get to work and didn't have anything fast acting to hand so I had to...

    I've lost the will..

Thank you. I cant cope with roast potatoes, only new potatoes, mash and chips. Since the second and third options are definite no-goes, my choice is, as ever, limited.

Or better still, make your own from mince with a bit of onion. We always have mince floating about. It magically appears in our fridge.

    I've lost the will..

I am but I am Autistic. I cant wear clothes that someone else has worn. Just one of my "things". I give stuff to charity but can't buy from one.

I agree...but I go with what I have. My mother carried mini mars bars with her at all times as recommended by her doctor. I now have mini eggs.

    Very low blood sugar reading

Update : I have checked my monitor. Battery fine and test readings fine. Medical advice taken. Doctor said I did okay by eating strawberries (forgot I’d found them in our fridge) but should have had a cuppa with real sugar in it. (Didn’t occur to me as was doing partners breakfast..) - must...

    Very low blood sugar reading

Anything is possible. I washed my hands before I tested. Blood flow was very slow but after the 1.7 I tried another finger. Actually I ate some strawberries after the LO reading, just remembered I found them in the fridge. Then work and the cupcake.

    Very low blood sugar reading

Well, in fairness, I haven't felt unwell more than I am always unwell so I wouldn't call 999. I thought about calling 111 but there's plenty of online advice about hypoglycaemia so I ate sugary foods, drank a sugary drink and there was no discernible difference in how I felt. I had no sweating...

    Very low blood sugar reading

Really ?. I have reflected on potential causes of whatever this was and expressed a view based on knowing myself and what I have eaten or done in the last 48-72 hours. Don't tell me I am "really not taking this seriously enough". If I hadn't thought it serious I would not have posted on here...
