    I have oats now the weather has changed, 25g mad with water, cooled down with coconut water then topped with blueberries, doesn't spike me and keeps me full until lunchtime so no snacking either! But you have to test and see if it works for you, good luck :) xx

    I seem to have hit the same kind of plateau, it happended earlier in the year but then picked up again, but I will keep going with LCHF 5:2, i'm sure it will pick up again at some point (she say's with hope!!) well done on what you have done so far :)

    Meals Questionnaire

    breakfast: porridge made with water and blueberries, lunch: chilli salmon fillet and salad and Greek yogurt with flaked almonds, dinner: chicken and veggies, snack: mini babybel cheese and peanuts :)

    I usually have a small handful of peanuts, or a mini babybel cheese, on the odd occasion I might have a spoonful of peanut butter on a couple of crackers

    LCHF - How long have you been on it?

    I have been doing LCHF incorporated with 5:2 for the last 2 years, have managed to come off metformin and so am medication free, from diagnosis 4 years ago of 96 down to 37! it's definitely worth a go, I do understand that it doesn't work for everybody x

    I have managed to do the same, bring my levels down to 37 over the last couple of years by changing my lifestyle to low carb/high fat, incorporating 5:2, lost 1 and half stone, still a bit to go with the weight but other than that, am now metformin free!!:)

    Fasting along with LCHF DOES work! I saw my GP yesterday after the diabetic nurse told me that my blood sugar levels were now that of a non-diabetic, so I am now metformin free!!! :) when diagnosed 4 years ago they were 97 and now they are 38! this is down to a combination on 5:2 and LCHF...

    A trick I used to use when feeding my fussy children, cooking then blitzing veg (a variety of) into pasta sauce for lasagne or Bolognese or a curry-they never knew!! ;)

    Full fat greek yogurt with blueberries for breakfast, will have a Lidl protein roll with home made egg mayonnaise for lunch with some Lidl snack cucumbers, then salmon and green veg for tea later :)
