    Eating out

Holidays are a dream, sausages, bacon and eggs at breakfast, cheeses, meats, a little fruit and yogurt doesn't hurt either. Just avoid the high carb like the breads and pasta.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Not really sure as I haven't been tested for a while, think my last was 91 though my control worsened since so it would probably be higher now. However, made some progress over the last week or so and my estimated hba1c is a great motivation to keep going and not fluff it up.

I need a quick bit of advice please.

What happens if you don't inject for your tea out of curiosity? I only ask because when I did the DAFNE course I had a similar experience to yourself and they advised not to inject for tea and if needed correct at the next meal which I found I didn't need to do anyway.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Two hypos during the night and haven't slept, sat at 8.5 now so a nap is a possibility.

    In need of advice please

@Ainsley.Rae25 All of the above. Please keep pushing with your GP. I was initially diagnosed Type 2 (aged 20 and overweight) and prescribed Metformin. I experienced the horrendous side effects and was given slow release to try but to no avail. My glucose levels remained worrying high but each...

    Diabetes Burnout.

Feel like I'm experiencing THE longest burnout ever but feel completely unsupported. My DSN is lovely and when I first reached out again she was very supportive and saw me weekly to help me get back on track but once things are on the up it's a phonecall every now and then which just doesn't...

    What are you watching

Watched a Netflix programme today, Peadophile Hunter. Very interesting but also very very disturbing and scary.

What came in the post for you today?

Today I received a car tax reminder for the end of the month and my water bill. Yay me.

    T1 47 and think I’m pregnant

Have you had covid recently? I had covid in April and haven't had a period since. I know a few others have also experienced this.

22M-Burned out and frustrated with Diabetes

I've never thought about keeping a diary but I'm liking the suggestion. Ideas of what to write/include in there @Juicyj and how to use it going forward? Thankyou :)

    Diabetes Burnout.

Is there anybody who has previously experienced burnout but overcome this? I'm really struggling at the minute, I've been attempting to engage again for months but I'm really not coping. Any tips would be great. I had been seeing a lovely DSN almost weekly but she retired in July and I've seen...

22M-Burned out and frustrated with Diabetes

I'm 29 and can fully sympathise as I am also experiencing burnout and just can't seem to get back on track. I have good days though which is progress. I usually find that small targets make these good days achievable as @Juicyj suggested. Usually if I wake up and test I'm more likely to engage...

What are you doing now and humorous banter.

I like your thinking, maybe I'll wait a little while for the hype to die down and spend the weekend eating chocolate instead, after all it is easter. I'm definitely feeling a little fence, and plenty of flowers. Also a little hanging basket. I've found some bee flowers hidden in a cupboard so I...

What are you doing now and humorous banter.

I have work on the 1st and 2nd but after this I'll be at B&Q buying paint so I can finally make some progress with my house. I'd also like to fix up the front lawn, the pictures of yours have given me some inspiration and now I have itchy feet, I'm eager to get started!

    Ashamed.

I'm still not making any progress, and when I try my readings are just insane and it makes me want to give up. Stupid diabetes. I just need that motivation, not sure why I'm finding it so hard just to make these initial steps.

    Lonely.

I definitely think we value spare time more when it's scarce and we are more productive during our spare time as a result. I used to read more prior to lockdown, and dream of days where I could indulge in a good book for a few hours but now I have the option to do this all day every day if I...

All very good choices! I absolutely adore Disney, all time favourite is Beauty and the Beast though I didn't enjoy the live action at all. I'm also a huge Harry Potter fan so I watch those often.

I'm sat watching Beauty and Beast, my absolute favourite Disney film and my happy place.

Thankyou for this, it's so easy to feel like a failure so it's always nice to hear from people who can relate. My door is always open for anybody who needs to offload or for a general chat.
