I have RH and I think I'm developing Fasting too

Hi, I had an extended GTT which confirmed I have reactive hypoglycaemia at the 2 hr Mark. Sometimes I drop when fasting sometimes I don’t. They think I have a Pheochromocytoma which could be complicating it but still having tests

Trouble is they couldn’t complete the test as they can only test C Peptide apparently if they go on or below 2.2. Forgot to mention he has now started me on metformin 500mg twice a day and if I’m honest it seems to have improved it. I’m still getting drops but they don’t seem to drop below 3.0...

Update: I was admitted for the 72 hr test and it has confused the drs even more. Overall my sugars dropped to 2.7. During the test I discovered when laying on my left side me sugars dropped. When laying on my right side they went up and walking up and down stairs made them go from 2.7 to 3.8...

I have RH and I think I'm developing Fasting too

I suffer with similar problems. I’ve been diagnosed with RH but my sugars also sometimes drop after fasting. 2 weeks ago I was admitted for a 72 hr fasting. My sugars went down to 2.7. However at home I have recorded a reading of 2.0 after fasting. Sometimes it drops sometimes it doesn’t. I’m...

    Sugars dropping repeatedly-help

Hi all, 2 days ago I had a severe hypo that happened in just a couple of minutes. Luckily I managed to get 3 fast acting glucose tablets down me before collapsing on the bed. My other half came home and although I could hear him I couldn’t move or talk. He suspected a hypo and checked my blood...

What is pre-diabetes and how serious is it?

Bmi calculations are only a guide. Apparently my daughter is classed as obese because of it. She eats healthy but also does gymnastics, is in a rugby team, plays netball and does trampolining and although she is just 15 has qualified as a level 2 YMCA fitness instructor. Her muscle mass has...

Thank you for your help. I’ll have to ask my endorsement about the oats and I’m not supposed to eat them with my diverticular disease. No harm in asking though

Thank you. The support on here is amazing. I don’t think people realise how rubbish hypos make you feel. I had a good blood sugar day yesterday with absolutely no problems with it so today I’ve eaten exactly the same at the same time yet today I’m having hypos again

    Sugars dropping repeatedly-help

But they won't bring the appointment t forward. They said they need time to collate the information as I've he'd so many tests and have so many symptoms which may or may not be related. I've been to A & E a few times with the BP, headache, nosebleed and chest pain but they say because of my...

    Sugars dropping repeatedly-help

Yes. It affects the adrenals but it can in fact be hidden anywhere in the body and its like finding a needle in a haystack. They are made of hormone cells and cause big problems. Apart from the rh my BP spikes from being low to stupidly high in minutes. 180/140 being high. I'm getting heart rate...

    Sugars dropping repeatedly-help

You're right that's why I asked my gp about it but he just told me to eat sugar all the time to keep the levels high. I'm not doing that as ill be dropping left right and center. I've already passed out 3 times, luckily after treating it so it has come back up again but it leaves me feeling cold...

Having said this, I’m definitely reactive though as if I eat something that makes my sugars high I’m guaranteed to crash about an hour and a half after

    Sugars dropping repeatedly-help

Hi, you may be right. I had to have a procedure done a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t sure if I was allowed to eat so I didn’t. They ended up aborting because I went hypo from not eating so I was there the whole time and all they did was feed me biscuits and tea so I could get home. It’s much...

Thanks for taking the time to reply. When I first joined the forum I read that people had omitted carbs so I tried it but my sugars dropped repeatedly and I ended up having to have something before I went to bed as I was worried I would go in my sleep. When I’m struggling bad with it, it would...
