    Wearing pump...

Relating to many of the other comments about dating on this thread... I've done online dating and have mixed feelings about it... I met two long term-ish ex boyfriends through it (one 3yrs, one 1.5yrs) -- but many other similar experiences to what you've all described above too. I'm intrigued...

Porcine / Animal Insulin in Pumps

Thank you @ann34+ ! I'm using novo for now just to get settled... I will likely try switching to porcine once settled and feeling more confident with the pump... Thanks for the reassurances! :-)

What do you do about air bubbles?

Brill, thanks both... Knew it was my mistake, just wasn't entirely sure how to rectify it... [emoji2][emoji2]

What do you do about air bubbles?

... If you spot an air bubble in your tubing, what do you do...? I changed my set earlier so I don't think it's a malfunction or anything -- I obviously didn't get rid of them all... And I've just seen a relatively large bubble... Would you leave it or would you prime it out...? I'm not...

N'awww! Love this @yingtong! Thanks for sharing.... more reassurances that not everyone sees the D as a burden / barrier... that some people can see past that and see and love the person behind it :) :) @Robinredbreast see; there's always still hope/a chance we will find our "one"... :-) :-) :-)

Pain on inserting and how to avoid bent cannulas

... I just saw -- quicksets! :) It could be that the length is wrong with them for you (they come in two lengths) or it could be that the set type just doesn't suit you... I tried quicksets and didn't get on with them; they were painful like you describe and I couldn't lay on the side they...

    Wearing pump...

Although it was our first date yesterday, I did know him already... So I guess that makes things slightly easier... But I do still anticipate some things will be weird for him... At this stage he's really interested in it all though which is nice :-) My last relationship broke down cos of the D...

    Wearing pump...

I know...!! I honestly said it just cos he was so curious... So instead of trying to say what they were I just said 'it's just here, you can feel it...' -- and cos he was so interested he just did: then we both looked at each other and burst out laughing!! Can't actually believe I actually...

    Hypos

Yep... I've just started too and my basal is literally a third of what it was on MDI's... It's part of the (******) process but as @CarbsRok says look for where the drops are adjust... And repeat until you get something more stable... Good luck!

    Wearing pump...

Great links, thank you @Longtimer30! :-) ... Date went really well [emoji4] he was really interested in the pump and CGM and kept asking questions ((in a good way)) -- he was so curious as to where my CGM / infusion set is that as one is in my back and the other at the side of my waist I let...

    Infusion Sets and Absorption

I understand where you mean now, thank you! Absorption is defo crazy better in my tum... As an experiment I had *exactly* the same meal tonight as I had on Friday... Same dose, same basals -- but on Friday my infusion set was in my backside and I spent the best part of four hours in double...

Medtronic 640g and Enlite sensor life

Brill, thank you @Flowerpot! Last set of questions I promise (for now [emoji6]) -- do you use the overlay tape that comes with the Enlites...? Do you just use one, or do you just peel back the second one...? I'm putting a new sensor in tomorrow and will try to attach it in a way I can easily...

    Wearing pump...

Brilliant suggestions, thanks all!! I don't have Velcro so this one will just have to be a hole, but I'll reinforce it -- and get some Velcro for future alterations! Thanks for the date luck too! [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4] x

Medtronic 640g and Enlite sensor life

Amazing!!! Two questions: where are you wearing it, and how are you doing it...? As you know I'm brand new to CGM and. It even sure which bit I'd need to remove / replace...?! I'm assuming the bit that needs charging... The gray bit...? Really pleased to hear as I'll try it with my next...
