Channel 5 Now The Big FAT Lies about Diet and Exercise

Malhotra champions healthy eating. Good. Then as he has gained fame, he began to call for politicians to “save” the people. Politicians - Government got us into the mess. As Dr M grows in fame and $, and works side by side w gov’t, human nature doesn’t change. He could become part of...

    World Carnivore Month Results

If not too late: tape measure around the belly button? For us men, it’s a great measure of progress. I began 40” June 29, 2018 32” by November 29, 2018 I’ve got 10lbs to go, methinks, and carnivore may be the answer.

    Zero carb/Carnivore

Weird but it was scurvy fears that held me back from LCHF initially ... Then I learned about the manipulation of fruit growing. My pediatrician pushed apple juice big time. I have such regret over the sugar addictions I see my adult kids struggle with. One is free-great health. Another is...

    Zero carb/Carnivore

I am reluctant to call any natural food a “sin” or off limits. I respect those who eat meat only for their health. “Give us this day our daily bread” has new meaning with: What we’ve done to wheat What we’ve done to soil What we’ve done w pesticides And... What we’ve done to our bodies w...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Assume I’m mentally healthy for this post. 6 mos since discovering Type 2. Low carbs (-20 grams) healthy fats and very strict. Results amazing. Christmas holidays with weight loss, I OD’d on chocolate chip homemade cookies (but they had high % cocoa and Einkorn flour!) Fasting BG in am...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

66 (3.8) for the first time since blowing it over the holidays. I’ve been running near or over 100 (5.5) all since holidays in spite of under 20 grams of carbs since last weeks fail. It’s taken a week but better late than never.

Do I have prediabetes based on these results?

People w similar numbers and no diagnosis have benefited from buying a $10 BG meter and eliminating foods that spike them. Your symptoms sound similar to a 31 yo woman who is not diabetic but is now eating as if she was and the stomach issue (and others) is resolving —life is so much better...

Stepped off the Wagon a bit

It ain’t easy but great to see you resolved. Have you considered “The Obesity Code”? Non obese relatives of mine, including those with few pounds to lose have all benefited from it.

    Itching

PS I think it’s blood sugar related. Increasing healthy fats has also helped. If I eat something that spikes me and I repeat, the next morning I itch

    Lets Look at Modern Wheat

I was taken back by the color of fresh kill farm chickens recently. The taste is nothing like the mass produced, hormone injected chickens today. I agree w the poster: the smaller, less watery natural free range chicken is succulent.

    Toast

In English, “mankind” was used for hundreds of years, without any offense, as “woman” is by definition, “from man”; hence the inclusion. People did not know to get offended for centuries until recently when politicians told us so.

    Toast

After being almost two decades at my doctors office they asked me what gender I wanted to be identified with. I asked, “Aren’t many Prescription meds are specifically prescribed by gender?”

    Confusion about reversing diabetes

I tried fasting years ago on the standard high carb “heart healthy” diet and was miserable. I could not even skip before bed snack (including breakfast cereal) Now? I routinely eat 16/8 It’s easy, not because I’ve become disciplined but because healthy natural high fat satiates. Carbs...

    Burn Out

I think some are “scared straight” by the reality of amputations. Recent article (by memory) said 150 amputations per day in UK for diabetes. For some, the carrot; for some, the stick. In my life, I’ve needed both.
