    Headache

Eventually got diagnosed with spontaneous cerebrospinal fluid leak causing intercranial hypotension ! Still in hospital and they have never heard of low carb :-(

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

Had a 4.8% this morning. This is baffling as I've had an ongoing nightmare headache for last 1.5 weeks and BS control has gone out the window.

    Headache

Totally convinced it's not a 'eye / glasses' related headache. The pain moves around the head from top to sides to back of head randomly. An eye issue is more concentrated. Anyway doctor tomorrow as it has got no better.

    Headache

Pretty much stable between 5 to 5.5 mmol all last week!

    Headache

Have been doing a lot of running so take iron supplements. Don’t see headache as a symptom of iron overdose! I know the symptoms of low iron/anemia all too well

    Headache

I realize this has nothing to do with diabetes :- I’ve been experiencing headaches for the last week or so. Feels like pressure on various parts of head and moves around between back, top and side of head. Becoming very annoying as it’s not going away. All symptoms point to a tension /...

    Libre 2 sensor failure

This my second consecutive sensor that has failed with similar problems. I was delivered 6 in a batch and am now wondering if they are all going to fail like this. Not impressed with Libre 2 so far. I'll be asking about going back to libre 1 at my next Doctors appointment. Abbot agreed to...

    Libre 2 sensor failure

Happened again , this time with 5 days to go

    Libre 2 sensor failure

Ended up calling Abbott who sounded like they were well aware of the described anomaly . Replacement in the post , hopefully the batch doesn’t contain any more anomalous sensors

    Libre 2 sensor failure

Thanks for the ideas , unfortunately the manual only says it means that the reader can’t communicate with the sensor and offers nothing else. Abbot customer service here is terrible , last time I had a clear sensor problem they just ignored me. After some threats they eventually replaced it:-(...

    Libre 2 sensor failure

I’ve done the self test a couple of times , says pass every time but doesn’t say what it has done I.e what’s it actually testing for

    Libre 2 sensor failure

Only about 20 times this morning :-(

    Libre 2 sensor failure

This is something I tried ie to give it a full charge , with no difference. At the time of photo it was charging , it was 1/2 charged when I first tried it this morning. I’ve had low power warnings before and it still scanned

    Libre 2 sensor failure

Unable to use phone (not compatible) otherwise would have tried :-)

    Libre 2 sensor failure

I woke up this morning and there was a diagonal red line through the sensor icon. The reader won’t scan the sensor and it just times out. It’s only been activated since Monday ~ 5 days. Can’t find any info or workarounds for this issue. Contacted abbot but they have just replied with their...

    Running woes

Just to conclude this topic , I stopped drinking coffee as I read it inhibits iron absorption. After 1 week there was a noticeable improvement in my pace ! I went from 5:10 mins per km to 4:55 mins per km. Anything under a 5:00 min per km pace is respectable for me :-)

    Question about BG Levels

It varies I cycle to work every day and run weekends but, the key is to keep your weight down as it really improves insulin sensitivity . I can’t tolerate carbs until the evening time and tend to eat more carbs on the weekend. Some days I’m only eating 30 gramms per day. When first diagnosed I...

    Question about BG Levels

I try to keep my BS below 5.5 mmol at all times with a low carb / high exercise regime it's certainly achievable

    Running woes

Great advice everyone. My BMI is 22.9 at the moment and steadily decreasing. I'm finding being slimmer very beneficial in terms of B/S control but still yet not with running performance. I'm a fairly good cyclist (IMHO) but it doesn't help with running at all. Due to a reoccurring hip injury I...
