Your thinking along the right lines.....which is great......I assume you don't actively adjust your dose.....? A morning low means too much overnight insulin, so the Levemir..... This is becasue there is no carbs or bolus insulin working overnight [normally]...which only leaves the Levemir...

Ultimately nuts are really slow to absorb, so shouldn't give the BG a hard time whether on oral meds or insulin.....

I thought the reasons were for safety of the type one.......... If they are taking blood out of us then they will also be taking out any insulin we have given ourselves...... with bolus calculators and pumps and CGM the risk caused by giving blood is significantly reduced I would say, so...
