    Help needed post gliclazide

My doc suggested I keep on the Glic until my levels had reached 60 (when diagnosed last month they were 141% or 23.5) I haven't lost weight and my doc thinks, based only my brilliant results so far, I should have - so he has requested more blood tests. I have to wait a few day before I can do...

    Just saw my doc

What my doc liked was that I printed out the graph that you can get with my testing machine - the first page show the "how many tests done within range, high, low, averages" etc and shows the graph too - its the graph that impressed my doctor, He had not realised the macchines could be hooked...

Loving my GP who I went to see yesterday. I have to wait a week, but he wants to give me another blood test as my recent BS results have reduced so dramatically and because I haven't lost any weight, is testing for thyroid too. He also agreed to look at reducing Glic when my blood got to the...

    Intermittent fasting: 14/10-16/8, 5:2, 24-hr fast, 20-hr fast

Thanks again Finsky. I have an appt to see my GP today and have printed off blood test results from when I was first diagnosed and another chart showing just the last month - showing a HUGE reduction in BS results. One of my questions today will be to ask where do I have to be to reduce Glic...

    Intermittent fasting: 14/10-16/8, 5:2, 24-hr fast, 20-hr fast

Just a quick question .... how can you do the 5:2 fasting diet (or any other fasting diet over a long period) whilst taking meds? I am supposed to take meds with breakfast, lunch and dinner .... making it difficult to fast. Suggestions?

    The SCREAM thread

OK .. I think I have solved the issue. We went shopping today for a suit for him. Unfortunately for him, he falls inbetween 2 sizes so I have suggested that for the next 3 weeks, we both try to get slim and fitter to loose a bit of belly, then the smaller size suit would be absolutely perfect...

    Advice on sugar levels

Hi Jean, I have my first GP appointment tomorrow (the first after having been diagnosed last month) and one of the questions I will put forward to him is to ask what I have to do to reduce the Glic I take to at least one a day then stop taking it. I would like goals to stive towards. Good luck...

    The SCREAM thread

Aghhhhh .... just discovered that my other half (who is also diabetic and therefore should know better), has been adding a little bit of sugar to the cups of tea he has been making me! He was trying to make a cuppa palatable and enjoyable for me .... I know that, but I am still trying to...
