Hi Adaba,
This is a great place to be if you have any questions and there are loads of different places you can chat, whether its about your diabetes or anything off topic too .... I have only been diagnosed for over a month so I am still learning too.
I keep seeing people suggesting that Weetabix and Porridge should be given up - I would be totally lost without being able to eat those for breakfast ... fortunately though, at the moment I also am able to eat those without spiking (touch wood) and will not be giving them up
Work today but got my steps over 6k by having an evening walk along the beach. Lovely weather.
After dinner went on the exercise bike for 10 mins (to work off the 2 biscuits I had)
Blister was not a problem - love Poundland - their blister plasters are a wonderful thing.
Hi and welcome
I was only diagnosed last month so am still learning myself - this forum is a great source of information and fun chat too - please do look around and join in (that is what I am doing) - nice to meet you :)
Oh, I wore the wrong sandals on my walk yesterday - got a blister now on the sole of my foot.
Raining today - once I lose a bit of weight, I shall look to see what the various sports centres offer as I would like to swim too (haven't done that in years).
Loving reading what you are all...
I feel your frustration.
Before I was diagnosed, my other half (who is also Type 2) became so grumpy sometimes that I often just used to call him Victor - as in Victor Meldrew as he was never ever happy about anything and always commented negatively on almost everything which started to get me...
I am trying to become more active - easier with the lighter nights.
I walked over 10k steps yesterday (my daily target is 6k as I have a part time office job and I wanted realistic targets).
Thought about cycling to the bakers today to get a yummy 50/50 roll - but felt the wind out there and...
I actually used to suffer a lot of cramps during the night, but since I have started walking at least 6k steps on a daily basis, I haven't had night cramps ...

Seems as though getting on the exercise bike for 15 mins after dinner works or ... so many people are getting great results today, it could be because the sun is out and its going to be a sunny day.
Good morning from sunny East Anglia this morning
5.1 fasting BS for me
Did going on the cycle last night for 15 mins make all the difference? Trying again tonight!
