    Fiasp

Dear all I am aNewbie to this site but not a newbie to pumping (nearly 10y now!) Anyway I have Fiasp! What do other Fiasp users have their IOB setting on. I currently have 5h but that's just because I haven't changed it from my Novorapid setting. I can gauge it for myself because I had a...

    New Doctors

Registrars in the NHS rotate from post to post once every 4-12 months. Hence why you'll see a different person each time. It's just as disorienting for them as it is for us.

    Flying with pump

I flew to Grenoble earlier this year. No problem on the way out but on the way back was asked for a letter which I didn't have! I showed them my prescription request which seemed to satisfy them but I'll get a letter next time I fly. I think it's because it's a small (tiny) provincial airport...

Moving to the U.K. From South Africa

Bring a handover. It's so much easier and safer if a doctor knows what has gone before. Where in the UK would you be moving to? I have a 640g and my clinic has a fair amount of experience with it.

    Funding and changing hospitals

I am with Guy's hospital. They interpret (or at least when I went on the pump) problematic hypos as hypos that interfere with your life. Because of the nature of my job going hypo would be a big deal so I have a pump.
