    Does Metformin help?

Thanks for your words guys. Hopefully I'll get used to it if I have to. I'm getting a bit crazy understanding my body. Sometimes my blood sugars get high without reason, sometimes i eat too much and they stay low. Seems like it doesn't depend from my meals, I can't understand. Sometimes even...

    My story

Thanks, your words are helpful. I forgot to say I am just a bit overweight, weighing 80kg for 175 cm. That's a reason why my doctors think I'm type 1 (and because of age). 9 years ago I was obese weighing 108kg, and I had ups and downs with my weight. Maybe that helped developing diabetes, I...

    My story

Since I still don't know what type of diabetes I have, I think this is the best section where I can write. I am (nearly) 32y old and was diagnosed about 10 days ago. I started drinking very much water and still I was thirsty, so one day I decided to measure my blood sugar. Fortunately I had a...

    Does Metformin help?

I was high today before lunch, 219 mg/dl (I ate some sugars for breakfast). At lunch I had about 30 grams carbs, and after lunch I did 30 minutes trampoline bouncing while watching a movie. 2h after lunch I was 84! Movement helped me a lot, and I had little to no sweat. Where did that big amount...

    Does Metformin help?

Hello people, I'm really scared and sad, waiting for diagnosis result but It seems I'm very probably type 1. I'm controlling diabetes with diet right now, staying between 85-140 mg/dl. In case of type 1 does Metformin help controlling glucose in any way? If possible I would like for the first...

    Type Unknown?

My doctor is actually doing an Antibodies test, probably the GAD you are talking about. I'll ask about c-peptide. He said anyway that my blood sugar is going down, sometimes even by not moving, so probably my pancreas still works a bit. Can sugar be sinked without insuline?

    Type Unknown?

Sorry, I meant dependent of course, my English is just a bit rusted... I'm hoping for Type 2, but thank you for the explanation, at least I know now. Are there any other tests that I can do on my own. I would like a hint, waiting is so frustrating :-(

    Type Unknown?

Greetings, I'm new here, and I hope I can learn how to treat diabetes with your help. I've been diagnosed last week but I still don't know if Type 1 or 2. Hopefully Type 2 since I prefer Metformin, but my doctor say is that I am probably type 1 since I am just 32 y old and not fat. In the...
