I have lost 1 1/2 lbs this week:) my weight plateaued for about 5 weeks then went up and plateaued again for a couple of weeks, now it has gone down. I don't know if it coincidence or the teaspoon of coconut oil I have been eating on a morning. Whatever it is I am happy!

I decided to try eating a small apple and testing my bg. Before 5.2 After 1 hour:6.00 After 2 hours: 5.1 So this looks like something I can add to my list of 'foods to eat' and will be particularly useful when I am out.

5.6 for me at 2.50 this morning. I had to get up early as eldest son needs to be at school for 3.45. This is roughly the same fasting bg as normal so there doesn't appear to be any DP. I don't like being up this early and feel I may need a nap or two later!

My boys were singing in the church just up from the bus station. The amount of cars parked on the roadsides (even the grass verges) leading into Durham was crazy. Yes it is very hilly - I'm too mean to pay for parking so park on one of the estates and have one mega hill to walk up!

let me know next time you are in Durham. We are 'outsiders' in Durham (only been here since 1990!) so have no links with mining. The gala means alot to many but unfortunately for many is an excuse to go and get drunk. however, the roads were all clear today - a bonus:)
