    After 53 years of injections I have now been on a pump for 6 months.I had good control on MDI but lost my 'hypo' awareness,would I go back to MDI,not a chance.Good luck with whatever you decide.

    It's possible to get funding for a CGM from your PCT it took me best part of a year and the backing of Endocrinologist and a very forceful DSN and the reason being that I no 'Hypo' awareness whatsoever,I can assure you it was quite a battle.

    I've been type 1 for over 53 years and married for 45 years,my wife is so supportive a she is better than any blood/glucose meter at spotting I'm going low which is brilliant as I have lost my "hypo" awareness and I still love her to bits.

    I use the multi-wave a lot as I find it smooths out the proteins and fats.

    I had a choice of 4 pumps,but I went with what my DSN recommend for me and,as usual,she was 100% right.
