Last night I went to bed really worried by what I'd read here about Insulin DepType2 diabetics..... I've been one since 2004. Reading your post Sid makes me feel a bit better. Since late October I've changed my eating habits to Low Carb 30g resulting in a weight loss of 17lbs, my insulin to...
It's good to have a reminder about what to look out for. Several years ago someone passed on similar info to me, so I haven't been fooled but know a few who have. It never ceases to amaze me the lengths scammers will go to in order to get to us....some clever, some so stupid they make me laugh...
Broad beans.... I loathed them! Unfortunately in my house, the rule was whatever I refused to eat was served to me at every meal until I ate it. Still hate broad beans :(.
Love liver, bacon and onions the way my Grannie cooked it, on the hob in a large sauté pan :)
I gave up sugar years ago Q and don't like the after taste of sweeteners either. How about ditching the digestive, which is one of the higher carb and calorie biscuits. Perhaps swap to a less loaded one?
I used to be rather fond of real ales but gave them, and other beers, up when I read somewhere how high the carb values are. For a few minutes there I thought I'd stumbled across a replacement, lol.

If I drank regularly I'd consider taking time out but I only had two glasses of wine and two malts during the Christmas/ New Year period, none of which made any difference to my BGs. Alcohol has never been a problem for me but food has! :shy:
Low carb for this type2 too ( insulin dep) I've been low carbing since October. My BGs are down from upper teens to an overall average of 7.1 and will come down more. I've lost seventeen pounds, am eating better than ever, have loads of energy and I never feel hungry.
Whichever you choose I...
Hehehe, awww, sorry I was elsewhere! Have checked again and when I click on content can see all the posts I've made. Isn't that what Susan asked for? BIG apology if I've messed up....again
Wow! That's beautiful, thanks for sharing the pic. I'm not brave enough to have as much as you, lol. From my research bepanthe seems to be a well recommended cream and coming from another diabetic, proves it's usefulness. Thank you :)
