    Fed up

@pokersteve same as @Tony337 I also do a lot of walking. I have a dog so so he comes along with me. I find if I walk after my meals it reduces my blood sugars. For me I find it relaxing and enjoyable. It might be something to consider if you are able to.

Hello im new to the Forum

You can make your own low carb bread if you have a bread machine @Chop1. I’m not particularly low carb, but I cannot have gluten, so I make my own. I put the ingredients into the machine in the evening, by morning I have a fresh loaf.

Help, dexcom want me to buy a new phone for my G7

The phones keep going, it’s the apps that are the problem. Apps are being updated constantly and will not work on older phones. I bought a iphone 16 . I agree with @becca59 on this “phones are a necessity now not a luxury.”

    Type 2 Flu jab

@Karen Earwaker Yes, my blood sugars always go up after a flu jab. It’s likely your body’s immune response that causes the rise. Mine usually comes down within 24 hours.

    Carbs

It is understandable @Dee1960 . Firstly, Nutritional ketones are different completely different from ketones that appear when your blood becomes too acidic because of very high blood sugars and not enough insulin. People with T1 diabetes are those most likely to suffer Diabetic keto acidosis...

    Any advice about stomach ulcer?

Hi @Maggie75 , I suffer with peptic ulcer disease. I’ve had it for decades. The first signs of ulcers was a bout of vomiting. I had no pain. I had a second bout of vomiting, but this time there was some blood coming up. I went to the hospital and was admitted. I remember I was tachycardic (HR...

    Carbs

Hi @Dee1960 , only you will know. Everyone is different. If your blood sugars are still too high, then yes. If your blood sugars are dropping then no. If your blood sugars are at a level you are comfirtable with and they are stable then you have hit your personal carb ‘ sweet spot’, so to speak...

Has anyone else been told they no longer meet the Type 1 Diagnostic criteria?

I agree with @Prancy . A C-peptide test would tell you a lot. After 24 years your body would be very unlikely to be producing any insulin, therefore you would not be producing any C-peptides. If you are producing C-peptides then that sheds light on your diabetes type, I would think.

Newly diagnosed- just waiting for type to be confirmed but looking like Type 2,

Hi there @LouT welcome to the forum. It is standard to have two HbA1c tests a few weeks apart to confirm diabetes. I see your GP is almost certain you are Type 2. Is there any reason you think you might be T1? If you are confirmed as having Type 2 diabetes then they will likely give you blood...

Non invasive Glucose sensor for T2’s

I prefer exact numbers too @Rachox . I guess it is working on the concept of ‘Time in Range’ as opposed to finger pricking before. and after meals.

    Type 2 Newly Diagnosed

Hi there @CSKSCS . Welcome to the forum :) . Firstly this is not your fault. The media spout misinformation about T2 diabetes, too many sweets, too many crisps and on and on it goes. It doesn’t help when we read it’s a lifestyle disease. I have diabetes and I’m a lean and I’m into fitness...

    Statin side-effects?

I was put on Rosuvastatin. I resisted for a year or so as my Triglycerides were very low, but my LDL’s were high. My Dr wasn’t pushy and took the time to explain why going on statins was a good thing. He also explained the possible side effects. Initially I was put on 10 mg. This low dose...
