    James John was born 22nd September by c section as my placenta was failing. He was 8.6lbs and was healthy so didn't have to go to NICU we're being discharged today

    I'm so proud of myself,my average blood sugar before pregnancy was 12/13 mmols Now it's 6! My old diabetic team said I'd never ever stabilise myself and I've proved them wrong and in pregnancy too! :)

    I've had steroids even though my baby will be 37+5 when born not sure why but I wouldn't think you'd need steroids for that late.. Trust the doctors they know what they are doing! X

    I had alot of hypos in my first trimester, I'd recommend just always keeping a bottle of lucosade on you at all times

    The sliding scale is for the steroids the full one will be for c-section :)

    My c-section is 11 days away now and so close. I've got my steroid injections this week I was told I'm out on a background sliding scale to help maintain my blood sugars... Do they normally let you move around whilst this happens? I can't believe that the end is so near!

    All my hypos were in my first/second trimester. Once i got to 25 weeks they spiked haha!

    Am I pregnant?

    I guess the only thing to do would be to do a test in about 4 weeks time.. I wouldn't think that you would be having signs that quickly as if so you'd only be a week pregnant and not alot is happening to effect your blood sugars.. I'd say you should contact your diabetic nurse/team :)
