    Type 2 Leg Cramps

    I had terrible cramps in my legs 2/3 years ago, my Doc. suggested Quinine tablets (200mg) each day, It did help for a time, then my Doc. put it up to 2/ 200mg a day and that stopped it thank goodness.

    Thanks again ladybirdd64, I have seen my diabetic nurse and she has clarified that I am T2 and explained the difference this is some thing that I was never told in hospital or by any one ells, so for the last 3 to4 years I've been thinking I've been T1. Bless you, its taken a load off my mind.

    Thanks ladybirdd64 you have put my mind at rest but how can you tell that I am T2 and not T1? I know I started of T2 and on Metformin, then I went into Hospital for a Bladder Infection and they put me on Injections so I thought I had gone to T1, I shall see my Doctor. Thanks again

    Recently diagnosed type 1 and rapidly gaining weight

    I have put on weight and have been 92kg for a long time and just can't drop it, I am on Steroid's witch doesn't help, I am 83 and restricted in how much exercise I can do such as walking, I can only do about 10 minutes in the garden and I'm done, so has any one got any suggestions/

    Hi every one. I some times have hypos at night around 4 o-clock, before I go to bed I put a bottle of Lucozade and some Jelly Babes on my bedside table if I wake with the sweets they are handy also if I have to go to the toilet I have a swig of Lucozade and 2or3 JBs and it helps.
