    Messed up my injection

I just did my overnight injection wrong! I misjudged how far the needle was in my abdomen and managed to inject into the skin so I have a little bubble that is quite visible under the skin. Should I reinject or would that be another mistake?

    Change of medication

I have been using xultify for many years but my specialist nurse has decided I may get better results if by separating the insulin from the other element. She has now prescribed Lantus and GLP1. Could anyone tell me the best time of day to take the Lantus? I have been injecting at 1pm every...

When your BG spikes...how do you feel?

I find myself falling asleep, in that I loose track of time and realize that I dropped off, when I go higher than about 9.00.

    Freestyle libre sensor

Thank you for your replies Energize and Brunneria. I didn't use any creams or lotions, and thoroughly cleaned the area with the alchol pad before applying the sensor. I was just sitting at the computer, working, when I felt it fall off. I will ask hubby to contact them to explain what has...

    Freestyle libre sensor

My husband bought me a Freestyle libre starter kit with two sensors and a reader last week. I have found it very useful for the last four days. I discovered that I was going very low overnight (2.9 was lowest) and on one night this happened twice. Sadly, the sensor has just fallen off my arm...

    New meds made drastic change

Thank you, Brunneria. Me too! Yes, I have been reading the LADA forum. Another question if I may? Does anyone else feel a bone-chilling cold when they go low? I have been shivering and feel icy cold as I near the 4.0 mark. Not technically a hypo above 4? Regards, Carol

    New meds made drastic change

Yes, I am on 3 x 500mg metformin a day. They haven't confirmed the diagnosis yet. They want to do another A1C test. I am back to see the Specialist on 9th June. It seems the tests are expensive and they say it will only give me a label not change the treatment at this point, so seem loathe to do...

    New meds made drastic change

With my AiC going up each time it was tested over the last year, raching a high of 10.1% at the beginning of March, the DN had expressed concerns that I may be a type 1.5 rather than type 2. She referred me to a Specialist, a podiatrist and a dietician. Today was the last of those three...

Might be T1 not T2. Scared.

Of course I don't mind, NurseDee. :) I use an app on my Mac and iPad called Diabetes Pilot. It also tracks carbs, exercise, medication, weight and blood pressure. Regards, Carol
