Yeah I was 8! And I lost like 3 stone in a matter of months felt generally unwell , always needed a wee always thirsty headache etc...and I’m the only type one in my family crazy!! & it all stemmed from hitting my leg on a metal table! It’s draining with what comes in part and parcel of this...

Hey! I’m 22 been diabetic 14 years! I work in pharmacy as part of the nhs! And I’m taken too been with my partner nearly 5 years and he’s amazing with helping with my lows etc and Mood swings but sometimes it’s nice to talk with someone who actually gets it!! I also suffer with necrobiosis...

Yes exactly the whole point of this test is to see whether my back ground insulin is correct for me because she doesn’t think I’m on the right one and she thinks it’s not lasting 24hours

The consultant has told me to not inject on my no carb days. I’m just following as I’ve been told

I’ve worked out the meals I’m going to have no carbs and the rest is just normal monitoring :)

To see whether my blood stays stable cos if I’m not eating carbs I’m not injecting my day time injection so theoretically the night injection should keep it all normal

I’m on lantus of an evening and they think it’s not lasting 24 hours so they may change it to Levmir

I’ve had diabetes for 12 years...but the consultants have decided I may need to switch insulin :)

I’m about to do a basil test to see whether my night time injection is carrying me for 24 hours. I’ve got to have a couple days with no carbs. Can anyone name any foods that have no carbs? Just need some support really as I don’t have anyone really to talk to

I’ve recently had my diabetes review with my consultant and they’re doing a test on me to see whether my Lantus is lasting 24 hours or whether I’m going to be switched to levemir. Anyone to talk to about a low carb diet would be great please Thankyou
