    Flying with a pump.

I have never ever had the machine go off on my pump and because I live abroad I travel a lot. The few times the machine did go off, I had my phone in my pocket, but the battery in the pump is too small for the alarm to go off. I always bring a letter for all my needles and stuff, but no one has...

    Prescription Lucozade type thing...

Haribo does small party bags of jelly bears, they're 15 carbs for each bag which normally is enough for a hypo and it's already measured out, so you can't go on a binge fest (that's what I used to do) And because they are just jellyfied glucose it works within about 5-10 minutes. I know you...

    Cycling to work

Presuming your basal was all right before, it can happen the liver produces it's own sugar if there isn't enough in your system (like when you get active without eating first) where normally the body would self regulate of course ours doesn't so sometimes you can get highs. Check your bs about...

    Feeling down...

Talking about it with others helps, or doing something to take your mind off. I once threw my old glucometer against a wall, that was quite liberating (don't do it if you don't have spares though). But I think we all know the feeling of fighting an uphill battle :( lots of love.

    Confused type 1

Hi I've had great results doing low carb (fallen of the wagon recently, but getting back on tomorrow), but because you are forcing your body to burn fats you will be producing ketones, those ketones make you more insulin resistant so you'll need more of it in your basal. I had good experience...

    New oldie saying hi!

Hi! I'm a type one since I was 5, that's 27 years (you naughty people do the maths). On a pump for nearly 9 years, but it was too late to stop my kidneys, nerves and eyes from getting damaged. So now I'm trying to really work on my diabetes to maybe reverse a few bits, but certainly to stop...
