    Spiking BG this the morning

Have you tested at night around 3am? If you are going low at night then blood sugars can be very high and uncontrollable in the morning. It is better to make sure that this is not the case. You can also google for Somogyi effect. If this is the case then preventing lows while sleeping will...

    FREESTYLE LIBRE ON SALE!!!!

Yes...I have noticed this too! The sensor was fine for the first week, but it continuously kept reading LO even when Meter readings were all above 5!!! Abbott are replacing this sensor. This happened to an earlier sensor as well, but since only 2 days were left on that one, I didn't bother.

    Temp Basals

Hi, From my experience, the weekdays and weekend basals work very well but only during term time. However, it all just goes haywire when the long school holiday break starts...and that's when you need to think about another basal profile i.e. inactive holiday basal, which might be slightly more...

    Temp Basals

Hello Martina, As Carbsrok has already suggested, your daughter will need to have different basal profiles for weekdays, weekends and holidays. For my son, we have further 2 different profiles for holidays as active holidays (when he is active, plays sports/goes to the gym) and inactive holidays...

    Bolus or Basal

Yes, I fully understand what you are going through, as controlling levels during puberty can be a nightmare! As I mentioned earlier, their basal needs could also be erratic! What might work this week may not work the week after! In such cases I have experienced that some kind of...

For most cereals I give my son bolus atleast 15-20 mins in advance. You will only get to know this if you check after 4 hours, i.e, 12 noon...

    Omnipod not sticking!!

As noblehead and carbsrock have pointed out, it could also be a faulty batch! The Hypafix tape is pretty reasonable on Amazon and lasts a while...you get a 10m roll for £5 and you only need to cut two small strips each time you apply the pod. The adhesive lasts till the next pod change. Also, I...
