I've not tried one slice with a meal, I've just been having 2 or 3 slices for lunch with Turkey Salad or Salmon. It's not suiting me at all, so I'll look at Ryvitas and the likes. Shame because I love my bread!

I'm new to this, only diagnosed about 3 weeks ago, but I'm finding bread raises my BG whether it be white (worst), wholemeal or granary. Need to think of something other that sandwiches to bring to work for lunch. Any suggestions?

It explains why I've been very tired! Also feel light headed at times.

I was tested 2 years ago and it was all ok. I went for a cardio clinic at the doctors and this was picked up on a blood test.

I've just had my results today, fasting 7.1 and after glucose 12.3. The doctor wants me to go back for a fasting test on Thursday. 2 weeks ago fasting was 7.4. I haven't been told if I am diabetic yet, hoping to find out more from the nurse on Thursday. What do you guys think?

Hi, I had a fasting blood result of 7.4 so my doctor asked me to do a glucose tolerance test, I'm waiting for the results. Are you automatically Diabetic if your fasting result is over 7.0 or does it depend on the result 2 hours after the glucose drink?
