Type 1 Burning vagina with high glucose

Be careful what you put on your "sore bits"! I'm allergic to the contents of many creams and found they were like rubbing Fiery Jack! Pure hell. The only soothing thing I've found is Yes vaginal moisturiser which is water based and organic.

Type 1 Burning vagina with high glucose

I've had type 1 for 38 years with no problems until I encountered a new consultant. She said I had too many hypos (I could cope with them and previous consultants were quite content with my results) and insisted I should reduce my insulin saying "Be kind to yourself. You won't get complications...

    Hypo vomit?

Poor you. Not a good start to the year! The thought of a cup of tea and clotted cream makes me feel quite sick anyway but the only time I've vomited with a hypo was when I was out at a restaurant for lunch with friends and had a hell of a hypo, just couldn't get my levels back up and was...

Type 1 Been told something on holiday (upsetting) type 1 diabetic!

@ANDuncan! incidentally was it a management person at the restaurant or just a waiter/waitress? If the latter then it would be a good idea to bring the problem to the attention of the owner or manager as they may well be grateful to you for doing so, so that they can make sure it doesn't happen...

60 YEARS ON INSULIN IS IT A SUCCES YEP

Well done you Vic! I've just reached 48 years and was diagnosed on holiday near Aberdeen with my new hubby. His father was a vet, took one look at me ( 6 stone and drinking water like a fish ) and dragged me off to the GP. Half an hour later I was in Aberdeen's ancient city general hospital in a...

Type 1 Been told something on holiday (upsetting) type 1 diabetic!

What a cheek! I would have asked how they would feel in your shoes and gone somewhere else. It's perfectly possible to test with no-one even noticing and injecting in restaurants is something I just get on and do, usually in my abdomen under my jumper. How did they notice?

    Thyroid And Type 1diabetes

I've been Type 1 for 48 years and taking Levothyroxine for about 25. My GP at the time reckoned you were likely to be hypothyroid if you met the four Fs: fair-skinned, female, fertile, forty+ . I was, and was also miserable - tired, cold, depressed, hair coming out like mad, depleting eyebrows...

    How long did it take?

Hi Lynz84. I don't think you can put a time frame on it - some people just accept it and others don't, sometimes you cope better with it than others and sometimes you just get so frustrated because nothing makes sense and you want to be just NORMAL and eat something you fancy, when you fancy, or...

    Conflicting Information from DSN's

It may encourage you to know that I was diagnosed 48 years ago at the age of 22 and I must at that point have been pretty close to a coma. I was hastily taken off to hospital for 2 weeks of learning all about insulin, diabetes, urine testing (which was all there was for patients in those days)...
