    It seems it affects us all differently .i was running to the loo up to 15 times a day on 1000mg slow release .I've persevered three separate times now but finally my GP has agreed it's not for me .There are many meds out there Lornylou .Maybe time to give another one a try ?

    Thats seems unusually high for that reading .Most people start of on 500 mg and work their way up .I'd certainly give the doctor or even better the Pharmacist a call before i started on that dose .

    Hi all :) tomorrow I have to choose a new Insulin regime after being on Novamix 30 for a while .Can anyone recommend a Bolus /Basal regime that works for them ? Thanks Sorry found the answer in the medication section but don't know how to delete the thread !

    I tried them @Prem51 .Bought in bulk but couldn't stand them .Some people love them so let's hope they do for you :) I believe it works with any starchy carbs @LinsT according to the programme !

    Are you taking a new Type 2 Drug?

    That sounds a great way of taking it .Will have to ask my GP .Was on Novomix 30 and Victoza but the nausea was just too much with the Victoza .I asked my doc was this how it made you lose weight ,vomiting and he laughed and nodded :-)

    :D I thought they were but with the difference in the USA measuring system for Diabetics I wasn't sure . Yes it's absolutely rubbish .I've just had my "annual review " and asked for it to be changed but somehow managed to leave without an alternative ,hmmm .My Hba1c was rubbish again at 106 .

    I'm using Novamix 30 Flexi pen Kristen it's a mixture of both Basal and Bolus .It isn't clear what the exact measurement is as it is pre filled and I turn my dial to 50 units of insulin and press but my diabetic consultant wants to add another injection .I started on 20 but they have just kept...
