thanks for both your replies; Les, I see you're on 3 x 850mg Metformin; how do you get along with it? i also was on simvastatin, but stopped when my joints started playing up! I hope I can make a positive difference to my condition in cutting down on high carb things, and therefore going the...

    Glucophage SR [Dosage Advice]

Would be interested to know what dosage you're on with this drug, and what the maximum dosage a patient can be given per day... my Dr has instructed me to take: 1 x 1000mg [2 x 500mg] TWICE a day.

Metformin and Stomach (not bowel) issues?

I had the same issues, and was put on Glucophage SR (slow release) and it worked fine with no bowel or cramp issues, so see if they can put you on these; some Dr's are reluctant because of cost, but it's a good drug!

    Diabetic Maculopathy

Just had my recent eye screening, and got a shock letter to stating the above diagnosis! They've said I've been forwarded to the Hospital for a consultation for possible laser surgery depending on further tests; my vision is fine, but there's action to be taken! Has anyone had this surgery...

    Januvia Side Effects

thanks for the advice; I've already decided to stop as I'd never had this issue in the mornings until I took one yesterday, so perhaps too strong for me; have always just taken 2 x 500mg of Glucophage SR twice a day, and have been fine for over a year with no side effects apart from the odd...

    Januvia Side Effects

    Greetz from East Sussex

Thanks @Andy12345 and @mo53. East Sussex has a nice coastline and I live 2 minutes away in Bexhill! The only drawback is the hospital standards at The Conquest, and overcrowding at the Dr's!

Thanks Bluetit1802, I have to admit to being a tad overweight which may have started this disease, but losing it is proving harder, but I'm determined to cut down and do more exercise. What weight are you if you don't mind me asking; I'm around 15 stone! btw, I've a family of Bluetit's in my...

    Drug Concerns

I'm not one for taking any type of meds, but when forced to, I do, and being a diabetic, I've been reluctant to take them due to side effects, but I'd like to ask which one of these is better: Glimepiride or: Januvia I'm concerned by taking Januvia after reading about the cancer position, so...
