Wow, no I haven't! It's amazing how I come oh here and discover new things. Surprised my nurse didn't recommend this to me, would of saved all those nights I stayed awake worrying!

I don't do carb counting. My BG's were fine way before DAFNE and that and I really don't wanna go back to square one and have numbers racing around in my head. I eat at different times, I work shifts and I don't want to eat the same sort of things every day.

Ok ok!. Don't have a go. I don't think it's a 'conspiracy'. Can't quite explain it. Maybe I just need more information instead of just been told "quick here's a jab TAKE IT!". Also I set up this topic to see just how many diabetics do/don't take the jab and their reasons.

Don't get me wrong. I know how bad type 2 is and I am fully aware that more ppl seem to have been diagnosed with type 2. Just wish it was equal.

I was on Lantus for 12 years, recently come off it this year. I remember those lumps, if I didn't get lumps then the injection site would sting for ages. I didn't know why and my doc was at a loss as well!

I don't think I've ever noticed a difference. But I will check even more now! Keep us up to date and let us know what your doc says!

I have type 1 diabetes. I've had the flu vac a few times, last year I missed it. For some reason I'm quite hesitant to have one this year. It just seems all very dodgy to me, we have gone through years of not having it. It's not a cure is it? If it's not..then what the hell is it? UUUGGGHHH...

I did start to inject on the top of arms but then thought I wouldn't want lumpy bumpy things on them lol

Injecting bum is quite hard lol! I prefer seeing the insulin go down and the needle is ok.

Same here! I'm loosing weight at the moment and I'm worried it's going to look worse! And it's not like I'm going to be able to show off my figure :( I've done everything they said, massage the area, avoid injecting in the area. *sighs*

So...how bad is yours? I got it really bad on my stomach, all my jeans are mis-shaped at the top as they keep rolling down and settling below the two big bulges. I have it quite mild on the top of my legs but that doesn't affect me as much.

I was told by my diabetes nurse - "You were telling me you were researching about going on a pump. I can tell you that going on a pump is hard, you have to meet the criteria". That is what was said to me.
