    NHS Prescriptions

I saw this news article today and came here to ask the same question. The article didn't specify if this will affect all types of diabetes or maybe for t2s. Either way it's a shortsighted decision.

Diabetes UK Big Collection at Tesco Stores

Glad to hear your wife is pointing out the collection tub, I noticed at our Tesco they're kind of out of sight at the till so I think most people don't notice it's there which is a shame.

Pump and hot weather = nightmare!

Re: Pump and hot weather = nightmare! My daughter gets hypos in the hot weather so we've been making lots of pump changes recently. For us the pump has made it easier to control, usually with injections we wouldn't have had the instant effect to changes like we get with the pump. Hope you can...

    Pump Noob! HELP ME!!!

What size needles is your mum using? You get different sizes, perhaps a smaller and finer needle would make injecting more comfortable for her (assuming she's not already using the smallest available). Does she rotate her injection sites enough? Injecting into lumps can be painful, lumps can...

    3 times a day

Hi Hilary, do you carb count or do you inject a set number of units for each of your 3 meals? If you're carb counting and you eat a meal with no/low carbs then you'll find that you need very little or no insulin anyway based on the number of carbs in your meal. Your basal insulin, stress...
